Local Real Estate Leader Gary Heinfeld Surpasses $250,000 Raised for Easterseals Blake Foundation Through El Tour de Tucson

Gary Heinfeld

TUCSON, AZ (Nov. 20, 2025) — Easterseals Blake Foundation (ESBF) announced today that longtime Tucson commercial real estate professional Gary Heinfeld, CPA (Ret.), CCIM, has surpassed $250,000 in cumulative fundraising for the organization through his participation in the annual El Tour de Tucson. This year alone, Heinfeld raised more than $25,000 for ESBF, continuing his legacy as one of the most dedicated philanthropic riders in the event’s history.

A retired accountant and cofounder of the prominent firm Heinfeld Meech & Co., Heinfeld has deep roots in Southern Arizona’s business and nonprofit communities. He is also an active member of the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter, where he continues to contribute to the region’s commercial real estate industry.

Heinfeld began cycling 12 years ago following a series of knee surgeries. His introduction to the sport came from his nephew, who bought him his first bike and joined him for his first three 100-mile El Tour rides. But Heinfeld’s deeper inspiration came from his late son, Ryan W. Heinfeld, who received services from Easterseals Blake Foundation after suffering a traumatic brain injury during his senior year of high school.

“Riding for Easterseals became my way of giving back,” Heinfeld said. “After Ryan passed away, the ride took on an even greater purpose—I ride every year in his memory.”

Heinfeld’s commitment has made him one of El Tour de Tucson’s most successful fundraisers of all time. He was the Top Fundraiser for Easterseals Blake Foundation every year he rode, and from 2014 through approximately 2021, he consistently earned the El Tour de Tucson Top Fundraiser Award—an honor bestowed upon the event’s highest individual fundraiser until the award program concluded in 2022.

“I never imagined this would grow to $250,000,” Heinfeld said. “The generosity of friends, family, colleagues, and the Tucson community has been overwhelming. I am truly blessed to be surrounded by people who believe in helping children and families in need.”

Easterseals Blake Foundation provides vital services to thousands of children, adults, and families across Southern Arizona, including early childhood development, disability services, behavioral health, family stability programs, foster care support, and more.

“Gary’s dedication is extraordinary,” said an ESBF spokesperson. “His commitment honors his son’s legacy while making a meaningful difference for the individuals and families we serve every day.”
